Radical Indianapolis Takes on Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca!

This past weekend, Radical Indianapolis took on the latest round of the Radical Cup North America championship at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca, in Monterey California. The team had a solid showing, at what is a difficult, demanding, and iconic track that features the famous corkscrew as well as the Rahal Straight. Carrying on from the previous championship round at Road America, Radical Indianapolis fielded four cars at Laguna Seca, driven by Nick d'Orlando, Jordan Missig, Suellio Almeida, and Kenny Naill.

Nick d'Orlando led both practice sessions before qualifying, where Jordan Missig claimed pole position for PRO 1500, setting a strong base benchmark to build upon for the weekend. Missig executed a commanding PRO 1500 pole lap that stacked up third overall for the qualifying session. He crossed the finish line in third place for Race 1, following d'Orlando who finished in second place. Race 2 brought adversity for the two drivers, however fortunes turned again in Race 3 with d'Orlando, Missig, and race winner Evan Slater having a lively battle that resulted in second and third place finishes for both d'Orlando and Missig. In PRO 1340, Suellio Almeida and Kenny Naill executed impressive drives in Races 1 and 2, including Almeida overcoming a mechanical problem plaguing his car throughout the weekend, and securing valuable points in in the championship. Race 3 brought another showing of strong drives from Almeida and Naill, with Naill crossing the finish line in eighth, while Almeida fought hard in his battles taking the last step on the podium! Another strong weekend for Radical Indianapolis, in the extremely competitive Radical Cup North America championship.

The team left Round 4 at Laguna Seca on Sunday with Jordan Missig leading both the outright and PRO 1500 championships, followed closely by Nick d'Orlando in second. Suellio Almeida is currently fourth in the outright championship, and leading the PRO 1340 championship, where Kenny Naill sits fifth.
